This page lets residents of California and other U.S. states with comparable laws exercise the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” (including cross-context behavioral advertising) of their personal information by [LEGAL COMPANY NAME], doing business as AD•SCALE. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and our California Privacy Notice.
01.What This Right Means
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act / California Privacy Rights Act (“CCPA”) and similar laws in states such as Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana and others, “sale” and “sharing” are defined broadly. They include certain disclosures of personal information to third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration, or for cross-context behavioral advertising, even if no money changes hands.
02.Who Can Use This Page
Any U.S. resident may submit an opt-out request through this page. We will honor it where required by applicable law. Authorized agents may submit requests on behalf of a consumer (see Section 8). We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under sixteen (16).
04.Ways to Opt Out
- submit the request form on this page;
- set Global Privacy Control in a supported browser (see Section 5);
- open our cookie consent banner and disable advertising and analytics categories;
- email Privacy at the address listed in Section 11;
- use the opt-out tools offered by the relevant advertising platform.
05.Global Privacy Control (GPC)
Where required by applicable law and where technically feasible, we will treat a Global Privacy Control signal sent from your browser as a valid opt-out request for that browser and device. Some opt-outs are device- and browser-specific; you may need to repeat the opt-out on different browsers or devices, and after clearing cookies.
06.Submit a Request
Use the form below to submit your privacy request. Required fields are marked with an asterisk. We use the information solely to process and respond to your request and to comply with applicable law.
You may also send the same information to [PRIVACY EMAIL] with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share Request” if you prefer email.
Other state-specific rights
Residents of states such as Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon and Montana may also have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of personal information, and to opt out of certain targeted advertising or profiling. Use the form above and select the matching request type.
07.Verification
We do not require verification of identity to process an opt-out of sale/sharing, but we may take reasonable steps to confirm that the request is genuine and not the result of fraud or abuse. For other rights (access, correction, deletion), we will take reasonable steps to verify identity before responding.
08.Authorized Agent Requests
An authorized agent may submit a request on a consumer’s behalf. The agent must provide written, signed authorization from the consumer. We may also contact the consumer to confirm the request and verify identity.
09.Timing and Effect
We will act on a valid opt-out request as soon as feasibly possible and, in any event, within the time period required by applicable law. After your request is processed, we will not sell or share your personal information unless you later expressly authorize us to resume. Note that some opt-outs are tied to a specific browser, device or identifier and may not extend across browsers, devices or after cookie clearing.
10.Right to Appeal
If we deny your privacy request, you may appeal by replying to our response email and including the words “APPEAL” in the subject line. We will inform you of the outcome of the appeal within the period required by applicable law and explain the reasons for our decision.
